Lonki, a family business founded in 1980, is specialised in the slaughtering and processing of rabbits. Over the years, Lonki has become the market leader in the Benelux region and continues to set standards across Europe. Since January 1996 Lonki has relocated its entire production unit to a new building in the strategically-located industrial zone of Temse. Lonki uses the most up-to-date and humane rabbit slaughter techniques in the industry. Our cutting and production technology means packaging can be adapted to products of all shapes and sizes.
In 2004, Lonki made new investments : it doubled the surface of the cutting plant and packing unit. Furthermore, Lonki built a brandnew cooking plant and a coldstore for over 2000 pallets.
Lonki has broken new ground in an effort to demonstrate the advantages of tasty and quality rabbit meat. One of Lonki's biggest innovations includes the development of special cuts (legs, backs, chops, filets, shoulders) and consumer-friendly packaging to guarantee optimal conservation.
To ensure smooth daily flow of supply, Lonki has established a network of rabbit suppliers in Belgium, Holland, France and Germany. Lonki ensures their suppliers adhere to strict regulations of health, environmental and humane breeding. That's a promise our customers have grown to count on. This way, we also can guarantee traceability from supplier to end consumer.
Our logistic departments guarantees a delivery anywhere Belgium and Holland within 24 hours after packing. The same applies to most parts of Germany, France and the U.K.
